ISAVE

·       Data quality assurance

·       User interaction

·       Time series comparison

·       production of quality controlled half hour mean values

The program ISAVE has been designed for interactive quality control. Its goal is to produce quality assured half hour mean values which are good enough to be filtered/flagged in order to remove local influences for increased spatial representativity. These filtered and flagged half hour mean values are the final product which can be delivered to the GAW-data centre.

The main steps for the production of quality assured half hour mean values are:

-         input of measured one minute mean values

-         comparison with information in station logbook, search for artefacts, influences of laboratory activities

-         interactive removal of outliers and errors with graphical editor in the measured and displayed time series

-         interactive and systematic control of measured time series along the whole time range of measurement

-         intercomparison of several time series including assurance for plausibility with parallel measured time series

-         control of calibration checks,

-         calculation of corrections from accompanying calibration checks and zero air measurements

-         production of half hour mean values with correct values

-         final intercomparison with synoptic data and other parallel measured time series concerning special episodes and events for assurance of correctness.

-         Delivery of quality assured half hour mean values.
